Ohayo from Tokyo!

Hey there everyone!
Once again im writing to people that probably dont exist but hello everyone anyway!
Im writing to you from the techno city of the world right now,  its 2:48 in the morning and ive been non stop all day so check in before sleep.
A note before i write this, not much is about DK's today as nothings changed and im way to bouncy right now to write about them and stuff ive been doing on ptr a week back.

So Tokyo, what a city, got in at the airport last night/morning and literally started crying out of awe and happiness, finally got to the city of my dreams. You see all the pictures on the internet of the city but it doesn't compare to the sheer scale of the city in person, i think my face was up against the window the entire trip to the hotel.  Got to the hotel at about half 7 japan time and ran about my hotel room, much pent up energy after sleeping for most of my 12 hour flight, then hit the streets of Akihabara. Its a technology/anime fans dream in those streets people, you wont believe how much stuff there  was about that would never find in the UK, its truly stunning. After a small spree (a small spree for myself this is) we had lunch at one of the famous maid cafes, thats an experience id recommend to anyone visiting Tokyo, all the better for the manga/anime fans out there. Much more shopping and exploring later, still in Akihabara i might add, we came across an arcade with DDR and other awesome stuff, DDR with actual anime tunes on it, stepping more into heaven for me via Hare hare yukai and other such songs. In summary really after my first day here i would recommend this place to anyone, even if your not a big fan of anime or technology, the city itself is awe inspiring, truly an amazing spectacle!
Well i guess i should get some sleep really, cos my partner is telling me to sleep or to be forced to via chair over the head.

Oyasumi nasai!

3.2, zomg!

Konichiwa.

Been more ill and more busy recently so this hasn't been updated in aaaaaaageeeess! I was talking about 3.1 last time and now its nearly 3.2. So whats to talk about, not much i guess, things are still early days as far as 3.2 goes in my eyes, blizzard has habits of changing things on patch release so. But im here to talk about stuff so i shall get on with it!

Despite what my last post said i have been flying bloods flag for my raiding so far in 3.1, its much more raid viable with our setup so, and its good fun. Having Heart strike cleave in Ulduar is rather useful on alot of the boss fights and trash, if they didn't move about so much it would be better, but hey i cant control everything... yet.

3.2, AP coefficients of Blood plague and Frost fever been upped in latest build, small but rather useful change, considering tier 9 set 4 bonus. Might start to see BP and FF up on the damage totals soon enough. Of corse its not all sunshine and butterflies, it never is for us death knights. Unholy taking possibly the bigger blow this time with the Unholy blight nerf, changed to take down Unholy's AOE domination on multiple mob encounters, and the Desecration spilt into two talents to lower PVP dominance, Scourge strike also taking a damage reduction.

Blood is left relatively shaken, Dancing rune blade has a fixed duration now of 12 seconds at 60 runic power, guessing again this is to take down PVP damage again, not to sure why, generally blood is not used for pvp *shrug*. Small HP hit from veteran of the third war talent, 3% stam now. Blood strike has been buffed up a little too, obviously good for Unholy and Frost, situationally for Blood on CC packs too i guess.

Frost, biggest news here in my opinion. Ill save my favorite for last and speak about the other changes first, its pretty much nerf bat again all the way for all changes. Frost presence is no longer 10% hp, now at 6% stamina, in long run i guess it will amount to more not good with numbers off top of my head but in current content id assume its a nerf. I know it is for my off tanking in my gear anyway. Frost strike, small damage reduction, and of corse now avoidable by all common means (dodge, parry ect.) *sigh*. Icebound fortitude up to 2 min cd, less reliance on tanking abilities apparently is the way forward for DK tanks. Lichborne cooldown reduction and duration increase, not sure why maybe to balance the PVP nerfs in other trees currently. Blood of the north, rank reduction and slight damage reduction on blood strike damage bonus, not sure where frost will have a use for the extra two talents, not looked into it yet myself (slackette).  Toughness talent down to 10% max rank, "to bring in line with the other talents of this type".  Chains of ice down to 95% movement reduction on cast, guessing PVP dominance thing again. Finally the one thing i look forward to and have tested a little with crap 1 handers, 3 point talent, talent tier 8, new dual wield talent! Threat of Thassarian give you a 30/60/100% chance to hit with certain attacks with both hands damage, like stormstrike for example but will apply to frost strike, blood strike ect. Im looking forward to playing with this talent with good one-handed weapons not naxx 10 ones like i have currently, and i owe revenge to one of our rogues so ill steal one from him one day.

I think  thats latest 3.2 updated talked over, should be all good now and up to date. On related news i recently became proc armour pen capped, with grim toll and sunders on a boss i hit about 120% ARP, happy times ^^.

Anyhow i will disappear again for a while now, hopefully not as long as before. *bow*

Absence, 3.1 and jpop.

Hai there.

Recently my absence and lack of writing has been evident, however as i have few readers so far i guess this is a naught issue. I have been rather ill of late and forgot to update the blog, so my apologies to people who may read it.

Anyhow business time! 3.1 has been an interesting patch so far for us has it not, i decided after much testing and arguments with myself to fly the flag of the Frostrose and i gotta say its good fun indeed. Granted its lag behind the other specs may be evident for others but to be frost seems to be throwing out better DPS, maybe i'm just better suited to frost's playstyle. Went down the blood/frost route: 17/51/3
As i said before its performing rather well for me, i enjoy seeing the abundance of frost strike numbers at the end of rotation, and they are in abundance i can assure you. I was pushing 4.1k sustained in ulduar the other day wich made me happy enough as its the spec i really like to play rather than following the crowd with top dps spec.

Ulduar is fun! Finally an instance that is not a push over, though people complain its to hard over vent caused me to mute it the other evening but oh well. Myself and the other melee enjoy a challenge for once rather than tearing the casters up on dps on sleepy fights.

And finally i have a new favorite Jpop band, Silver Forest.

Once again revision strikes.

Sooooooo pretty sure i said that blizzard would revise stuff... oh look at that, death strike reversed to its old style from 2 builds back >.<
Death strike: Damage done is back to 75% and plus damage at max rank is back to 222.75.
I may be wrong on the exact numbers and stuff but meh, i have all the respect for the devs looking into the classes and i respect they have thousands of people to try and please, but id like to see some positive consistency for once if im honest. Granted its a buff tho so *clap*.
Buff for om nom nom (Ghoul Frenzy) as well, nice to see i guess, keeps ghouls alive and thats what is important. though gargoyle has been clipped again to 40 sec so. Not a fan of unholy myself but i have respect for my fellow DK brothers and sisters, go for it unholy *shoves into cleave*.
AMS buff is rather tasty, now i can take a full HP bar spell in  the face and "live", bite me Malygos. Rime proccing off Obliterate now as well, more skill swapping there. Blood boil is down to 20 yrds now to, guess more of a pvp change than anything, not to sure :/.
Final word on WoW here is about the set bonuses, not much to say, added death strike to the list now for the 5% crit and extra runic power gen. So yeah, exiting change right there...

And now onto Anime! First Anime post, *claps*, spent the weekend at a convention, proper good time went with a friend of mine. If anyone is ever thinking of going to one, go for it its one of my most favorite things to do, such an atmosphere of otaku! Cosplayed as Haruhi in her rock concert outfit, was good fun indeed and no stalkers thank god. Will post pictures soon maybe!

*Confused* Blizzard playing about again.

Unholy shuffled more than a deck of cards.
Frost now with more cheap plastering.

Death knights covered with more "fix" bandages than a car crash victim.

So blizzard strikes again with more bandage fixes. Howling blast down to 8 seconds from 10, oh wow thats so great i can hardly believe it... >.> And fucking with rime to, start to wonder who the blizzard have on their class development team.

Unholy being shaken about to, master of ghouls being moved down god knows why. Night of the dead being moved up, since they moved master of ghouls i wonder the point of this, ooh wow my ghoul will live longer, if i even bother speccing unholy anymore. Death strike nerf, dunno why guess it healed to much, or someone whined, either or.

As was said on SJ, maybe if they actually take some time, sit back and THINK about the changes they would actually work...

Tier 8 and the ever indecisive plays of blizzard.

So the new stats for tier 8 are out on MMO champ.. It has to be said that the expertise on the chest and ARP on the helm is nice, the stats are more varied now though already hitting expertise cap id rather stick with Frozen pain (Until i get a better Uldar one of corse.)
Oh and did i mention the set looks super awesome? cos i think i better mention it again, it looks super awesome.

Once again blizzard has gone back on itself on a change, for the worse for the player to. The Dancing rune weapon change has been reverted back to the duration it has on live however it keeps the -50% damage, not sure about the cooldown yet. With the glyph your looking at about 21 seconds of dancing rune weapon damage, in the end it looks like it wont catch up to what it is on live in rough calculations in my head it should do less anyhow. Though if the cooldown remains at 1:30 then it might not be an issue, though i don't trust blizzard not to go playing about some more.

Its a PTR though, everything is subject to change so we may see DRW get a buff or nerf in the near future along with a few other subjects of concern.

3.1, Mounts, Set bonuses and such.

So the latest bunch of PTR notes came out today on MMO champion. Some nice things some bad things, set bonuses and stats on tier 8 25 gear are first thing on my agenda though.

The 25 Dk DPS ones are nice to see at least, as a person who favors blood spec the DC bonus is nice to see as my current tier 7 bonus is currently obsolete to the new death strike specs and to sudden death, although i can see the lightning overload style nerf landing on that at some point. Stat distribution although were only looking at 3 pieces at the moment is pretty much exactly the same as you get on tier 7, shoulders with hit and crit, legs with crit and haste I wont lie in saying i was hoping to see more variation but as haste is being made more desirable for death knights now it will be nice to see.
Im not a common tank as DK but looking at the set bonuses seems like they are very nice indeed, a use for AMS outside of heavy magic fights is nice. Stat distribution again seems nice heavy on expertise, im not going to say to much as im not a seasoned death knight tank and only know what ive picked up from blogs and bashing buttons in heroics and Naxx 10.
On to the most important matter of tier 8, when i looked at the picture of the DPS stats i was happy to see the blue skin being used, then found that both had that and sudden was back to normal again, hope to see the blue and red sets on the DPS tier but my luck doesn't serve me to well so time will tell.

Now for the mounts, they released the picture of the Frostwyrm mount today, the mount id love to see my DK riding, however she never will as they have put it to the PVP arena system. GG blizzard, sigh. Still holding hope that they may throw it as a drop on an Icecrown boss later on perhaps but meh.  Not a fan of PVP, anything that makes me face-keyboard cant be good.

Well ill try to get more runs in on Uldar with my screwed up test specs and stuff, post it here.
